Frameless Shower Door: Care and Cleaning

This session is designed to take care of and protect your frameless shower door and give it a more lasting use. There are always questions on how to clean it and keep it beautiful, so here are some tips and cleaning products.

1. Check the label of the cleaning product before applying to your shower glass. If the label does not specifically say for use on glass, do not use.
2. Always use a soft sponge or cloth. Don’t use abrasive materials. 
3. Rinse surfaces completely with water after applying cleaning products.

Use a squeegee after each use.

Wipe shower doors dry of all water after each use.

Use liquid soap or shower gel instead of bar soap.

Use glycerin based soap if a bar soap is preferred.

Rain-X® or a similar product may be applied periodically. However, these products should not be used on ShowerGuard® or glass that has been coated with a permanent protection coating.

A soft cloth or wet sponge and most common household cleaners are all you need for periodic maintenance of your shower glass. As a suggestion you can use these two products: Soft Scrub Lemon Cleanser and

Avoid abrasive cleaners, such as: Ajax, Comet, CRL Bio-Clean, CRL Sparkle, Rouge  and Cerium Oxide. 

Hydrofluoric and phosphoric acid are corrosive to the coating and glass surfaces and shouldn't be used. 

Do not use abrasive brushes, razor blades or other sharp objects.

The price of these products depends of your selection, but anyone will repels the water and the soap stains. One of these repellents is Diamond Seal. This one can restore, protect, and maintain your glass for lifetime. Diamond Seal product keeps glass surfaces new, shiny, and healthy by repelling water, dust, and environmental contaminants that cause corrosion, oxidation, and staining.

DIAMOND SEAL PROTECTION CARE:

It is very easy! Just do not stop using the squeegee after each shower. This is the minimum cleaning you need to do. Even, if you need to clean deeply, use only 80% water and 20% a 100% alcohol in a bottle that yourself can prepare. Do not use any commercial cleaning product with ammonia with the Diamond Seal.
